It appears the next turd to come from the brothers wayans will be a 21st century makeover of “The Munsters”

Although specific dollar figures were not disclosed, sources described it as a very lucrative deal for the Wayanses. The deal marks the first time the brothers have taken on a screen adaptation, since their previous efforts have based on original ideas.

Oh that’s right, “Scary Movie”, “Scary Movie 2″, “Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood”, and “I’m Gonna Get You Sucka” were all based on entirely original ideas having nothing to do with movies that had at the time just recently come out.

That’s what i love about the dynamic of the brothers wayans – their “freshness”. It’s their ability to explore fresh ideas without resorting to tired, copied, and otherwise uninspired premises. The way they tap into what’s currently popular, new, or making money and rather than copying it or revisiting old formulas they decide to create something no one would expect.

Well i for one look forward to their unique perspective on a film adaptation.
