I have 3 more days of camp. So far the experience has been amazing.

I arrived in Winnipeg last night to Lee’s open arms. So awesome to see him again. We went and grabbed some adequate Mexican food and walked home. I thought I was hallucinating since I had been up since 9 am on 4 hours of sleep, was on 2 flights, and had eaten no food until the Mexican but nope… we saw this adorable rabbit hopping around downtown Winnipeg. Right in front of the historic Hudson Bay building (est. 1670!).

Tomorrow I head to camp. I found out after landing in Minneapolis that contrary to last year, it is going to be abnormally warm this year. Good thing I packed all those sweatshirts and thermals Amber advised me to bring.

Sitting at the Atlanta Airport. I just spent 10 dollars to waste time on the internet since miraculously I got through security in about 2 minutes giving me 2 hours to kill. I still have a couple days til camp. I spend 2 days in Winnipeg before finally heading to Regina on Monday afternoon.

My lady created my lesson plan for me. So I will be leading the following workshop:

The art of goings on and so forth

• LESSON 1 : Realizing you aren’t as funny as you think you are.
• LESSON 2 : Understanding that no one gets your inside jokes.
• LESSON 3 : How to Razzle and Dazzle

Those Canadian kids don’t know what they are in for. I hope there’s CATAN at camp.

Rather than pack for the 10 day trip to Improv Camp or organize my thoughts and things for my workshops, I have moved my blog to its new home. I’m sure it will be wonky and buggy for a while as I get used to using WordPress after years of being a Blogger user.

I got my motorcycle permit today! It only took an hour at the Atlanta DMV. Miraculous I know…Then Later in the day I saw a guy on a scooter and asked him what kind it was. “Lance Venice” he said. I told him I was thinking of buying one and asked what he thought of it. He exclaimed, “Fucking Phenomenal!” Unfortunately scooter place was closed when I finally got there later in the evening and had sold the one I was looking at… Now I will be buying this Cherry Red one.

I leave Saturday for Improv Camp. I will be an instructor for 10 days at a camp in Regina, Saskatchewan in Canada. I’ve been stressing about what the hell I have to teach anyone about improv. I mean, sure I’ve been doing it for 10 years but I never considered the possibility that a 14-16 year old would listen to what I have to offer. I guess someone does. I decided my workshops will be on Short Form Improv Theory and how Improv Games relate to Storytelling. Hopefully it sound like I know what I am talking about.

I made my camping list last night. I think it’s extensive enough of a list. Amber – who was there last year – helped make sure I covered all the bases.

I also shaved the justache off today. It’s not nearly as ironic without long hair.

I’ve never been to a Camp. I’ve also never been in charge of kids. I will be without computer and possibly phone for 10 days.
Lord help us all.

I worked out today for the first time in ages. As a reward I ordered a chocolate chip cookie with my afternoon coffee.

Counter-productive much?

In preparation for being an instructor at Improv Camp I broke out the razor and shaved down to a Justache.
